The weather in June..

We're halfway in June, and we've had it all.

Heat, rain, thunder, hail, sun and all kind of strange doom looking skies

What I'm missing lately is a classic solid Southwesterly or Northwesterly wind..

hmmm... There's a Low on the ocean right now.. who knows .. maybe it crawls towards us.

Finally!! The new haring is available since today. A delicious dutch tradition. Couldn't resist tasting a few at lunch ;-)

And I have to say, this year's catch is approved!!!

As it was daddy's day today, I took my little girl to the zoo and found a nice spot for her to take a nap.

Retreiving the pictures from phone, I found a picture taken at Ana's birthday. Seems like the little girl aprroved her mom's present ;-)

Heading end of the month to Portugal.

I know there's agave wood around there. So what better to search for some wood, bring it home and make a board out of it..

Wood recycling..

Found in a trash container some old, used wood that they used for building houses..., scaffolding wood.

The planks got their marks from years of abuse, but hey.. that also ads loads of charm.

So I brought them home and made some garden furniture out of them.

After a lot of sanding, the surface of the wood became smooth as silk. Ready for a second life in the garden

A windy weekend

Saterday. After a week full of wind, the wind kept on blowing in the weekend. For some easy going we went to the IJsselmeer/Stavoren. A super relaxed spot where it's easy parking/rigging/leave your gear anywhere around/where you can leave the dog playing on the shore while you play on the water...

Monthly Movie Update p.2

After a month of nervous waiting the second part is finally here. Again, windsurf action and not so much lifestyle, but hey... that doesn't matter.

The clip shows the feeling I get when the wind starts, the nervous feeling and the desire to go to the water immediately.

I scored some good days at Amstelmeer. I used th Hotsails Bolt 4.7 and Patrik Diethelm Freestyle 99.

Crowded

People have been telling me to come and check out Scheveningen with a nice southwest wind, cause it's one of the closest spots from my house and definitely the closest from my job. But after seeing this picture (taken yesterday by Ridge255, check his complete gallery here), I am glad I had my session at Ouddorp, in nice side off conditions. Sharing the waves with no more than 3 or 4 other guys. I guess that's the advantage of going to a more remote spot.
