Wind and Kanelbullar

Fish on Friday to start a windy/waterly weekend. A raw salt haring, our local sushi ;-)

Superb forecasts with even better outcome... solid wind. On the saturday we got sun instead of the rain. On sundaymorning we got that extra turbo boost that stretched out our arms..

Tool for the job. Gunny outline means serious business....

Saterday we surfed next to the harbour of Stavoren. On sunday the wind went more to the west direction so we headed to Molkwerum. There we sailed totally alone in super nice conditions. Think we scored the IJsselmeer at its best.

Eveningdinner. Salmon, Goatcheese+honey, beetroot.

The view doggy has from her place..

Sunday evening the home backery went to the max..
Nothing beats the smell/taste of fresh Kanelbullar after a day of surfing.

Whitsun weekend

Limonade on ice

Ready for a BBQ

"Western" style food..

The more "East" touch.

Into the woods

The weather in June..

We're halfway in June, and we've had it all.
Heat, rain, thunder, hail, sun and all kind of strange doom looking skies

What I'm missing lately is a classic solid Southwesterly or Northwesterly wind..
hmmm... There's a Low on the ocean right now.. who knows .. maybe it crawls towards us.

Yup, that's hail

"Hollandse Nieuwe"

Finally!! The new haring is available since today. A delicious dutch tradition. Couldn't resist tasting a few at lunch ;-)

And I have to say, this year's catch is approved!!!

I like them on a bread with onions.

As it was daddy's day today, I took my little girl to the zoo and found a nice spot for her to take a nap.

Retreiving the pictures from phone, I found a picture taken at Ana's birthday. Seems like the little girl aprroved her mom's present ;-)

Agave...

Heading end of the month to Portugal.
I know there's agave wood around there. So what better to search for some wood, bring it home and make a board out of it..

Hey Winfried!, do you bring the transport machine ??>> caravan ;-))

Wood recycling..

Found in a trash container some old, used wood that they used for building houses..., scaffolding wood.
The planks got their marks from years of abuse, but hey.. that also ads loads of charm.
So I brought them home and made some garden furniture out of them.

After a lot of sanding, the surface of the wood became smooth as silk. Ready for a second life in the garden
