Yesterday, the evening news already showed us the white beaches of San Sebastian. Normally around this time of the year, San Sebastian is a nice and relatively warm place in the Basque country. Perfect for a surftrip in those cold winter times. But not this year it seems....
This afternoon, I received an email from Pierre-Yves, our friend from Brittany. His pictures showed us that our other "save haven" also turned completely white....
Is the Atlantic coast from Galicia down to Tarifa the only snow-free destination of continental Europe nowadays? Maybe it's really true, maybe we are heading for a new iceage..... brrrrrr, let's hope not!! And lets hope spring comes early this year.....
PS: I don't hate snow, but I just love the waves soooo much more.....

Last time we had heavy snow here in Crozon was in 1986 I think...
ReplyDeleteBut the snow stayed only 2 days on the beach in front of my house...
Today we had the "normal britton weather": still a little bit cold, but rain an south wind!
Tomorrow we should have 10°C, so we'll be back on the water!
Easter is our focus!!! Just trying to see if we come the week before or after easter.
