Rain
Kind of a strange feel.... Rain. Normally I would hate it, but now after 2 months of no real rain (not normal overhere..) I love the smell of rain. Also the feel. Finally I can test my new Goretex outfit ;-)

Scrapyard
2 Posts ago I spoke about that superb 4wd Audi station wagon...
Well, talked a lot with Eric where that car could be, or what happened with it. ~ Cause we knew it was a superb one, that we both like to have now again... (As a tax free classic)
So we started searching, but we never found something.
Till yesterday. Found it on a Scrapyard near Amsterdam.
Man, that car could still be alive if it stayed here...
I sold this one (had to, wasn't in the position to keep it besides the new one)
I Guess the later owners never got that feel I had with the car...
(The car that followed this one up I drove exactly 10 years)
Fisheye
For some projects for work I got a fisheye lens and tested it out today. I always love the effect of a fisheye.

4wd avant "camper"
Yesterday I wrote something about my first 4wd stationcar"camper".
Well I searched through some old photo books, and I found some pics. Here well packed somewhere in Galicia (North-West Spain). 4wd+diff locks brought you to the best empty and remote surfspots. Nice memories.

Quiverack / Roofbox
After some digging in the dirt (read: barn..) I finally found my old roofbox..
Didn't use it for more than 10 years. Used it on my first 4wd station wagon (audi 200 avant), so that I could sleep inside. Gear on top, 2 persons airbed inside.
Due to the nice weather I came in the holiday/trip mood.. Want that Station campercar again.

Japan...
Japan. It's now a week ago that the Tsunami hit. Every day on the news I see new pictures of the disaster. Words can not describe it. Wish you all over there the strength to rise up again!
I'm living in a country which lies almost totally below sea level. It makes you think..
Must admit that the posted picture is a kind of a bizarre one. On one side it's nice/special/colorful. On the other side it's scary.

Beautiful Saturday
Finally a nice day without any plans, so perfect for a lunch at the beach and a walk through the dunes.
The girls enjoyed it too ;-)
Like I said....
Perfect blue skies, but no leaves yet. Just give it a week or two and all trees will be green again.
Scottish Highland cattle are used for nature preservation in the Netherlands. It is an awesome sight to encounter these animals.
Now it's clear, spring is coming ;-)
And off they go....
Time to finish a perfect day with a cold "Freddie" in the sun ;-)
