Revving it up through the mountains!

This is how a playground for cars look like

Nonstop playing with the gears (up/down switches on steeringwheel)

Nice empty winding roads with zillion curves/hairpins

The whole road just for yourself

Tricky hairpins in the clouds

Obstacles

Revving it up uphill. The exhaust sound reflexes nicely back from the mountain walls

Superb spectacular views!

Into the Pyrenees

Curvy winding roads + countless hairpin bends..
(check out those roads on the mountain in the back)

Time to go of the beaten track and dive into the Pyrenees mountains. I took the map and searched for small high winding roads. To find some nice area's/nature, but also hoping to find some nice empty curvy roads to play with the car.

Aha, the mountains are there

This forest looked like a jungle. Water/rivers, green and hot

We're getting deeper and deeper into the mountains. The totally empty winding roads are coming.
Time to shift the car into manual gear and unleash some horses ;-)....

Fine nights

Got often this question: Where do you sleep when you travel without your bus, and you don't go to hotels/pensions/campings?

Simple. I like to sleep in the open/fresh air, under the stars.
Search for a nice place, take the airbed out of the car, plug it in the 12V, inflated.... and voila your bed is ready. Enjoy the night in the free

Sleeping with this view is way more worth than sleeping in a Hotel with a big TV screen at the end of your bed...

ps, keep the place where you stay clean!

Heat in Spain

Road that cleans/brushes the underside of your car, how cool is that!

So, time has come to say goodbye to Portugal, and go for a tour through Spain. Love that country. Friendly people, great food and a beautiful nature. Mountains, deserts, oceans, forrest.... you name it... they got it plenty!
It's a waste to drive fast through it on a highway. So we planned a route over nice small roads.
Thats the way to get along/find the best places.

During the day it became hot. 38 degrees. (airco in the car is a friend ;-)

Despite a airco there are way better and nicer things to do. If you search a little you can always find some nice places where you can relax, have a nap, swim etc..

We found a nice lake in the mountains with cristal clear water. No other people around

Time to make my bed and go for a sleep under the stars

Viana

Erik puts his 117 liter board to the max..

Rio Lima. Nice sweet (warmer) water to wash the daily salt overdose away.

Over the fresh washing machine

Fine local snack. It is almost like a miniature creme brulee, wrapped in a cookie

The daily hangout.

Gamba's in garlic in the evening
