Stormy winds

Early in the morning walk with the dog. This guy is allready busy trying to catch his evening meal..

I start with a heavy breakfast. Eggs, bread and fruits. Spotted allready some wind behind the big pier..

On a sandpath I came across this pair of jeans. From a local who want a cool stonewash look??

What a flower!

Going back in time.. old bumpy stone roads. Nice for 5 minutes, but after half an hour you get dizzy by the shaking/noise..;-)

Wind picked up very very fast. Everybody went away from the beach. Sandblasting to the max.
My homie never surrenders :-) ... The dog simply always wants to be at the beach were we are, no matter what.

Stormy winds. A steady 8bft. Between the 2 piers we got an extra mega turboboost ;-)

other sailcolor, so time to match the drinks with it ..

After sailing till dark, time for some good food. Unlimited spareribs and a superb melon/feta cheese salad

Sealing wax red + beige grey

That is the original colorcombo of my car

But it also a good color combo for a tug!

surfboard drifting

The amazing things you can do with a finless board.

South african flag

For some time Sean Ordonez made this beauty. South african flag in tinted resin..

Today I came across this picture of a (I don't know which brand..) new factory sup board...

You all can imagine what I thought...

The big pier

Lighthouse at end of the big pier. You can enter that pier from the north of town. Nowadays closed for cars, couse some have been washed away by waves... Some people sometimes
just don't think clever ;-)

On these pics you can see the lighthouse in the back. The first years I came here that pier was shorter.. so you can imagine how that influenced the waves. On the other hand, the spot can handle even bigger waves now

Close-ups from the beach

Recycling of an old boat. Its second life is a chicken house. Salty eggs?

Energy drink with fire logo in same colorway... How nice is that!

Evening session

Probably the safest colors on the water

We drove in the evening to Porto to have a dinner and watch a movie in the cinema.

And what a dinner!! Probably the best meat I had in these holidays. Brazilian picanha. Super thin slices of super juicy beef.

Yup, we finished it all... But than they came with a new "stick"... :-0
We had to throw the towell into the ring...

Same spot 18 years ago (1992)

(now they call it a pushloop, back than it was a tisted ito wind backloop)

For Paul and Cornelia. The good ol'times..
I made some digi-photo's of some old pictures. For sure you will remember these days, we talked about it ;-).

No crowds (and no kites ;-), the big harbour pier was shorter, no cashmachines etc.. (stress to get money at the bank .... ehhh also no Euro.
Main food was spagetti.

Sails with dual batten system, my biggest sail was 5.3, home made boards

But also nonstop wind and waves

Think this last juli came close to that summer in 1992 (wind/waves)
